Website domain down!

  My WordPress domain (biodesignalumni.com) isn’t working, but the WordPress site (biodesignalumni.wordpress.com) is working fine. When I go to the domain, I get this error message:
  Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

  Yet when I try to recover the domain in this way, it says it’s in use by someone else.

  Anyone know what to do?

  Hello,

  Please check the whois records and confirm that it is showing your contact details. If not, you need to contact GoDaddy support to get it sorted.

  I still see WordPress Name Servers, so, if you GoDaddy account is all fine, you might want to open a ticket with WordPress support.

  @nrdamiano looks like the domain mapping for biodesignalumni.com wasn’t renewed in time and has expired.

  WordPress.com no longer offers standalone domain mapping. You need to upgrade to a paid plan (see https://wordpress.com/plans) and follow the domain mapping instructions (https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/) again.

  Make sure you are logged into the correct WordPress.com account which owns the domain mapping originally. I have tagged this thread with modlook for more accurate help from the support staff. Please wait while someone from the support staff gets back to you on this.

  The domain mapping upgrade for biodesignalumni.com is owned by another account. Please login as jeremyajohnson and reply here or ask them to do so. Once you’ve done that, I’ll be happy to look at the domain.

  Yes, that’s all gone through and domain mapping has renewed for another year.

  Is there a way to transfer the admin role responsible for this to nrdamiano?

  Do you want to transfer ownership of both the site and the domain mapping upgrade for biodesignalumni.wordpress.com?
