    Hello! I’m so inept =). Recently, my website was being hosted by bluehost and my subscription expired. I elected to not immediately renew as I was exploring cheaper options. However, soon after my domain name upgrade also expired. So…totally don’t know what to do now. I would like to use the FREE services offered by WordPress but with the upgraded domain name because I don’t think it was very expensive. So. Help?!

    Hi there,

    If you still want to use the domain, your best option is to get in contact with Bluehost to renew it as soon as possible.

    Domain expiration is a long process taking 90 days or longer with most registrars. At a certain point there is also an additional fee to recover a domain, and the registrar can try selling it to someone else, in which case you’ll never get it back. You can try waiting for the domain to be released and then register it here, but it’s going to take a while and you run a very real risk of losing the domain.

    As the domain was not bought through us we have no way to help you get the domain any other way. You can only buy it from us if and when Bluehost releases it.
