Website domain mapping error
-
Hi there,
I have a domain called http://www.writingwisewords.co.za hosted by Afrihost but the servers connect to WordPress and therefore the site gives me a domain mapping error. I have now deleted the writingwisewords.wordpress.com site to which the site reverted and am hoping this will help resolve the problem. I exported the content and I still own the first-mentioned domain. Please let me know if this will work? I plan on simply installing WordPress software on the domain I own, rather than doing it backward – initially I created the site first, then bought the domain and connected it. I look forward to your help. Thanks. Heideli

Hi there,
the site gives me a domain mapping error
I checked your site. It says that “Domain Mapping Upgrade not found”. Have you bought an upgrade plan?
It is mandatory to purchase an upgrade plan for domain mapping.
Purchasing a plan should sort everything I assume.Hope this helps!

If you want to install WordPress at your other host, you’ll want to update your domain settings to point to their servers. Right now your domain points to us.
If you want to host the site here with us, you’ll want to add a site again and add a plan with domain mapping to that. Does that make sense?
Let us know if you need more help.

Ask your domain provider to do it for you or guide you through.
Also ask your new host for the correct name servers.
