  Hi,
  we are trying to build a website with WordPress and would like to use the domain name http://www.shibaristudy.de
  Now our site is displayed as http://www.shibaristudy.wordpress.de
  When we upgrade to pro, will http://www.shibaristudy.de still be available?
  I tried purchasing the domain on siteground and it said it was already taken. Is it our WordPress account that ‘took’ it?

  You domain is still available you can check with the help of below link:
  https://www.whois.com/whois/shibaristudy.de

  You can use this domain in two ways:

  1. As you haven’t purchased the domain till now so you can register this domain with WordPress.com while upgrading plan.

  2. If you want to buy it from another registrar then you can go ahead and after registering there you can map that domain with WordPress.
