Website Domain Transfer
-
Hello WordPress Team!
We at Swordcraft Ltd. are getting ready to transfer our domain to WordPress. I have read and understood most of the process, but am a bit confused about email transfer. We currently have 9 emails we want to transfer, and I’m not clear on how to do this. Our current provider is MyWork, and I haven’t found anything on their Help Page to be very helpful at all in this situation, and MyWork is not listed on the list common website domain transfers on the WordPress help pages. Any help to make this transition as smooth as possible would be greatly appreciated.-Kayleigh Helm

Hi Kayleigh,
We at Swordcraft Ltd. are getting ready to transfer our domain to WordPress.
WordPress.com doesn’t accept incoming domain transfers, but you can ‘map’ a domain you already own to your WordPress.com site using Domain Mapping:

If you have email on your domain, there are a few more steps to make this work when your nameservers are pointing to WordPress.com — your MX records will need to be updated. This guide explains how to add MX records:
