  I own a domain name with a different registrar(yearly subscribed), but I want to create my website with wordpress.
  1. If I am to transfer the domain to wordpress, will I have to pay for the yearly subscription again?

  2. I understand I can’t do this in a free plan, but if I choose the business plan , do I get a free trial period before getting billed?

  If you want to transfer the domain to WordPress, you need to upgrade to the yearly plan.

  There is no free trial period for any plan. However, you can cancel your plan. If you cancel a plan within 30 days timeframe, you will get a refund.
