    Is anyone else’s website down?

    The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

    Just get that message above and I haven’t even received an email.

    For help with a site using the open source WordPress software, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support where they have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page. In this case you should also be able to contact your web hosting provider as well for assistance.

    Just to clarify, this support forum assists users of the WordPressdotcom platform. WordPressdotcom (where we are ) and WordPress are separate entities with different documentation and support forums.     Yes! This is happening to me right now too! I contacted WordPress support and they said it was going to be $185 to fix! I’ve found some Youtube videos on how to fix the issue yourself and I’m trying to do that but I need some info that I need customer service to give me. I am not tech savvy but I guess you can upload the files FTP with File Zilla and then try to change a theme or plugin that caused the “crash”. This is just what I’m reading.

    Also, when I told the customer service representative that I was not paying that and I did nothing for my site to be down, he was very rude to me. I asked for a resolution and he said I could pay $165!!!!! NO WAY!!! I need to speak with someone at WordPress about this because I think it’s a scam on their part!

    If you still are not sure where your site is hosted, you can do a WHOIS search at https://lookup.icann.org/ and look at the name servers. Come back to us here and open a new thread at https://wordpress.com/help/contact if the name servers are wordpress.com

    If your name servers say something other than wordpress.com you are using the open source WordPress software. For help with your site you’ll want to head over to the documentation and forums at https://wordpress.org/support where they have more experience with the software you are using.
