  How do I fix this error: ‘Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context’? I cannot access the website to edit and cannot update it without this error.

  Hi! Thank you for the response. The url is cs40wustl.edu.

  I am unsure if we are using open-source WordPress. However every time I try to visit the website it shows: Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home2/cs40/public_html/wp-content/themes/swift-blog/inc/main-banner-slider.php on line 75.
