    I have received the following message and my website has been down and I don’t know how to fix it.

    Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

    Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com but instead a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org ) but hosted at HostGator/Launchpad.

    We cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. But, I can get you pointed in the right direction.

    You should reach out to your host for help with this issue. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this issue.
