  Hi, my website is down eggpolitics.uk

  Stupidly, I originally signed up with an incorrect email address which I don’t have access to. I then changed the email address to one that I do have access to. Since then the website has been down.

  I would appreciate any help please. Thank you

  Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you have trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites hosted on our servers.   https://wordpress.org/support/ is an excellent resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  Thanks for your help. I just tried to use the wordpress.org forum, I cannot login as it doesn’t recognise my username or email address. So I am unable to post on there.

  When I login to my wordpress account, it says that I am a wordpress.com premium user? I am very confused here.

  Howdy –

  Sorry for the confusion, there’s something weird happening with the domain that made it look like it isn’t registered or hosted with us, when in fact, it is. I have asked our domain specialist for some help and will write back to you here once I have more details.

  I see that yesterday you updated your domain’s contact info. This action will result in a new verification email being sent. Once you provide the documents needed for the verification, the domain will start working again.
