Website Down and Jetpack Disconnected

  • Unknown's avatar

My payment details with GoDaddy needed updating, however before I got a chance to update them, they stopped my domain. Therefore my WordPress site disappeared. I have, since, updated my payment information, however the WordPress homepage still gives me the error to reconnect my Jetpack. However, I cannot reconnect because my wp-admin page is unavailable. Is there any way to resolve this?

  • Hi there,

I cannot reconnect because my wp-admin page is unavailable.

All Jetpack does is connect your site on another hosting provider’s server to your WordPress.com username account.

If your site is not currently active on GoDaddy’s server, there is no way to connect it to WordPress.com with Jetpack, and you won’t be able to do anything to the site from your WordPress.com dashboard.

You’ll need to contact GoDaddy support so they can help you restore or reinstall your site on your hosting account with them. Only when that is done and you can access WP-Admin again, will you be able to reconnect Jetpack and manage your site from your WordPress.com account.
