I received an email from Jetpack (free) this morning that my website (https://atlantapt.com) wasn’t responding with the following message:

    Error reference: 150935901/intermittent

Checked to see if I could open it in Safari and Firefox and both weren’t working for me. I tried to login to WordPress, and I’m able to see the dashboard but no admin areas– I can’t check plug-ins, etc. It says I don’t have admin rights.

I’m not able to login to the admin page by clicking the ‘WPAdmin’ link at bottom left because it isn’t able to establish a connection to the website.

I contacted hosting site (GoDaddy) who said it’s not a problem on their end.

I did get the email today that I have to upgrade to the Jetpack commercial by October 5th for stats, but I don’t see how that could be the problem today. Am I wrong about that?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Hi @tonyfox1976,

Checked to see if I could open it in Safari and Firefox and both weren’t working for me. I tried to login to WordPress, and I’m able to see the dashboard but no admin areas– I can’t check plug-ins, etc. It says I don’t have admin rights.

I contacted hosting site (GoDaddy) who said it’s not a problem on their end.

The site https://atlantapt.com is hosted with GoDaddy as you mentioned, and is connected to WordPress.com via Jetpack plugin.

Currently, as per the email you received, Jetpack is not connected to your website. To fix this, you’ll need to check a couple of things:

    1. Make sure your user role is an administrator since you’re no longer able to access the dashboard, plugins, etc. This is something your host can help you with.
    2. The Jetpack plugin is active, you’ll need access to the Plugins page in the dashboard to check this.
    3. The domain has an SSL certificate, you could ask your host or from where the SSL certificate was assigned. This is important for the Jetpack connection to work.
    4. If everything checks, you’ll need to reconnect Jetpack following this guide: https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/fixing-jetpack-connection-issues/

I hope this helps solve the Jetpack connection issue on your site as soon as possible. If the issue persists, kindly get in touch with our support here: https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support
