Website down, PHP version out of date?

  Hi,

  I’m an administrator for my business’ website and as of a couple of days ago, any attempts to navigate to our website only load an error message reading:

  ‘Your server is running PHP version 5.2.17 but WordPress 5.2.1 requires at least 5.6.20.’

  How can I fix this and update my PHP version when I have no access to any part of the website?

  Hi @jenniferasbc it sounds like your site is using the open source WordPress software and is not hosted here on WordPressdotcom. If you need help with this issue, please contact your web hosting provider directly.
