  Good day to all. I’m helping my parents rebrand their company. Here is the link to the site https://jffence.com I am attempting to gain access to it on my parents account(this one) but it is nowhere to be found. Could the website have been made through a host? Could someone point me to some guidance please.

  Hi there,

  That site isn’t hosted with us on WordPress.com, no, but is using the open source version of WordPress, hosted at GoDaddy.com. So GoDaddy support will be your best bet here to regain access to that site’s admin account. You will need access to your parents’ hosting account at GoDaddy themselves as well.

  If you have access to the hosting account, you should also be able to reset the password for the site’s admin account yourself. You can find the relevant documentation for the open source version of WordPress used on that site here:

  Once you have access to WP-Admin on that site you can connect it to this WordPress.com account using the Jetpack plugin, if you want. That would allow you to manage some aspects of the site via this account, and you can even set it up so you can use this account to log into the site’s admin account. But we have no control over the admin account itself.
