I want to create a website , I see that i have a free domain? how long would that last ? What would you be your advice ? Should i buy one in order to have a safe timeframe?

There is no time frame in which you can be hosting a free site on wordpress.com, in other words, it can be hosted for free for as long you want it to be.
The paid plans are billed annually from the time you upgrade from the free plan so this means that you have a time frame of a year.
My advice if you want more customization to your site the premium plan works best.

Are you referring to irenedotart.wordpress.com? If so, this is a free domain for your site hosted here on WordPress.com and it will never expire. If you’d like to upgrade your account, you’ll be able to register a custom domain – it’s free for the first year.
