Website 'error establishing a database connection'
-
When trying to login to edit my website, all that would come up on my computer was ‘error establishing a database connection’. When I tried to login through WordPress itself, it was saying my website was disconnected. How can I get my website back up and running ASAP?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It looks like your website is hosted on CloudFlare. I would start by contacting them.
Also, this support forum is for WordPress.COM. You are using self-hosted WordPress.ORG. You can read about the differences here.
The support forums for WordPress.ORG are here: https://wordpress.org/support
Sorry we are not able to help you in this forum. Good luck getting back into your website.

I keep getting the same message “error establishing a database connection”
It’s been going on for the past two weeks.
My site is LaHuertaDelDia.com
Please, I need help! -
Hi there,
lahuertadeldia.com is a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, hosted by Unified Layer
Name Servers:
ns12.domaincontrol.com
ns11.domaincontrol.comYou are posting to the wrong support forum. For hosting issues contact your web host. For software support read on.
This is WordPress.COM support and that site is not on our servers. To be clear we do not provide support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software, or for WordPress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to WordPress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites WordPress.COM account page.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The wordpress.ORG support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Hi. No, my site is in wordpress.com. It is hosted by Blue Host. I don’t know why you would say such things that are not accurate.
-
Any site hosted by Bluehost has to be a WordPress.ORG software install on paid hosting. Software support for it is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

@marialex1 if it helps, WordPress.com is a hosting service. WordPress.org is free software that doesn’t have official support. It does have its own community at https://wordpress.org/support though.
Bear in mind, WordPress.org installations are a do-it-yourself endeavor, but if you’ll search the forums there for the trouble you’re having, you can likely find a solution, and if not you can ask the community for help. You might also ask your host for help.
If you’d like, once this issue is resolved, you may be able to move your site to our service so we can maintain it for you and provide support. Here’s how to get started with that once your current issue is resolved:

The minimum required MySQL version is 5.6 – your server has 5.5.44
The recommended PHP version is 7 or higher – your server has 5.6.8if I upgrade, I receive error connecting to database and all sites on server fail to load. all sites are running latest version of WordPress 4.8.3
what is the best way to update all sites before or after update of both php and mysql?
