Website Export Code to our own server

    Hello,

    We are thinking about using wordpress to design our website.

    For our current website, we are already using our own domain, website servers, DNS, and also email servers. We just need to use your website tool to design without disrupting any current setup.

    Are we able to build websites on wordpress and export all code to our own website server for publishing?

    Hi Michael,

    First of all, in case you don’t know yet, there are two kinds of WordPress setups that we can talk about here.

    The first one is the self-hosted WordPress.org sites and second, which you’ll find here, is the WordPress.com sites.

    Now, with regards to your case, since you already have your server, domain, etc., you can just install WordPress (can be downloaded from WordPress.org) on your server and start building your site there.

    You won’t need to create any site in here, WordPress.com, then.

    Alternatively, you can still build your site in WordPress.com (meaning create a WordPress.com site), then you can upgrade your Free Plan to one of the provided Plans, to be able to map your existing domain to your WordPress.com site.
