Website font size not showing correctly

I am currently using the Redhill theme for my website. When I am editing my webpages, I set font sizes but when I view my website online the fonts appear in different sizes that what I had edited them. I am currently using the free wordpress service, if I upgrade to the Premium service, will it allow me to customize the Redhill theme and menu in other ways that it currently allows me to?

  • Hi there,

On the Premium Plan you’ll be able to customize font sizes of any elements on your site using custom CSS, yes. It would also allow you to, for example, change the colors of elements on the page.

But can you give a link to a page on your site where font sizes in the published version differ from what you see in the editor? If you use the settings available in the block editor to change the font size for specific blocks, you should be seeing those same changes in the published version as well.

    Hi,
If you look at my home page: laserpartrepair.wordpress.com
The last part of the page which starts with “We have shipped to customers all around the world including the following countries:”

In the editor I have set it to the smallest font (Heading 6), but the actual website shows it as the same size font as the rest of the webpage content.

Can you please advise how I can make the font smaller?

  • I’m seeing a pretty marked difference between h4 just above that section, and the h6 you mentioned. Could you please get a screenshot and upload it to your media library, then update us here?

    Hello,
I uploaded a screen of the editor to my media library, file named “Screenshot of Editor.jpg”

As you can see in the editor, the font on the bottom is much smaller than the rest. but when viewed online the font size is large and not the same as the editor font.

    Thank you for your help.

You can adjust the size and positioning according to the font that you use, but you should still keep in mind what will happen if the visitor doesn’t have access to the font (or if it fails to load) so that the text is shown in a different font.

Wordpress editor does not let me choose fonts or size. I am using the free version. Can you please explain how to change the font and size so it appears like the editor?

I figured out how to make the font smaller in the html code.

    Thank you for your help.
