Website – Gallery Issues

We had an IT person set up our website a few years ago. He took care of linking the gallery and media files to the website. A few months ago we decided to do a make-over to the site at which time he updated everything. Now I set up the events and link both the gallery and media files. Everything was going ok until a few weeks ago when I was receiving errors when uploading photos to the website. I contacted our IT guy and was told I needed to delete photos from previous auctions as they were taking up too much space, therefore, I couldn’t upload all of the new photos. I did that but an still having a terrible time uploading photos. We have a very large online auction this Saturday (Sept. 22) and I need to know why I’m having trouble. I am not a techy…I can get by but this is outside of my knowledge base. I tried to contact our IT fellow but I guess he’s moved on. Your help would be very much appreciated.
