Website Gone

Hello, my name is Penny Tyler and recently Go Daddy unhosted my website by mistake. It was down for 10 days. Now everything is resolved with Go Daddy but my website PennyTyler.com is gone!!!! I have tried everything I can to get thru to you folks at WordPress because Go Daddy want $150 to fix it and it wasn’t even my mistake.

I am in tears. How do I prove to you that I am Penny Tyler? My emails are (email visible only to moderators and staff) or (email visible only to moderators and staff), or more recently (email visible only to moderators and staff) to match my website. Yesterday your message to me was that I had been suspended. My website is benign to the point of boring and so I could not possible have offended anyone. I don’t even have any followers yet!

I gave my business card to a group of writers last week while on vacation and now I am mortified that my site does not exist. Please please please help me. my cell phone number is 248-303-5585.

I also created a site called RustyWriters.com but the people going in on it with me dropped out so I will just let it expire, however, if there is anything attached to that site that can help prove to you who I am please check it out. I used the same TimeTurner theme for both sites. I live in Traverse City Michigan. Again, please help me.
    Thanks, Penny

I know how you feel, I just spend 90 hours over the past 5 days constructing, paying (mapping, upgrades) and getting refunds for my website erelistings.com/web/ only to come home from shopping for food (did not leave the house for 5 days, busy working on the website 18 hrs. a day) to find that the website is 404 and does not exists any more. Right now I am so done with word press unless they do some serious customer service and fix the mess their lack of user friendliness has caused me and countless other users.

    Best regards

ps. this was by the way just the last of countless problems associated with the WP products.

When WP finally got back to me (days after I had finally given up and went to Godaddy) the ended up telling me that it wasn’t their problem. I had to have GoDaddy, delete all my accounts, re-sign up for a WP managed site through them, and rebuild from the ground up. Now I don’t know where to go to make sure this NEVER happens again. I think Godaddy is partly to blame for disconnecting me in the first place, but what are you going to do? I don’t know what self-hosting means, but I worry having GoDaddy OR WordPress in charge of my site (and my email!) I can understand if you break the rules, but if you are just minding your own business and one day everything is gone, it’s cruel and unjust punishment for a non-techy. At lease I can talk to a real person. Last but not least. You get what you pay for. All in all I love creating with WordPress and would not have a website at all if I had to pay for all the bells and whistles or to have someone build it for me.
