website hacked

    Hi there – we have a travel blog website http://www.getupandglobe.com. It is a site we used for travels 5-6 years ago, so although we no longer maintain it, we still want to keep it alive. Unfortunately it looks like we were hacked, and now we cannot even find the site online? Can WP help us in any way, or is this more of a question for Host Gator? TIA

    Hi! Sorry that something happened to your site. This is not a question for WordPress.com if you hosted on HostGator, as this is a web host. If you think the site was hacked, it’s possible that your host took it down for security. You can certainly contact them.

    Hosts won’t always help on software issues, and may point you back to WordPress. This forum is strictly for WordPress.com hosted sites. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
