website has been overtaken by a porn site

  Is there anyone who can help me transfer this site (not the porn site) but the old spooky beaver site to a new wordpress account. My husband passed away and became extremely lax in renewing the previous site and it has now become something obscene. The original site was for a group of volunteers who go out a make are beautiful national park trail systems save, fun and enjoyable for everyone. We would like to get the site to our local chapter running again with the same content but I now can’t access it.

  I’d like to use the original wordpress site which was (email visible only to moderators and staff) (I think?)

  Hi there,

  Your WordPress.com URL was still forwarding to the domain with the porn site even though you no longer had ownership over that domain.

  I detached the domain from spookybeavers.wordpress.com, so you should be able to visit the site without it forwarding to the obscene site.

  Since you still have access to the email connected to the account, you can enter that email address in the password recovery tool if you have forgotten the password. Please check your spam folder for the recovery email if you don’t receive it in your inbox immediately:

  https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
