Website has expired without my knowledge

    Hi WordPress team,

I need your help urgently as my clients whom visit http://www.powerfoodsfitness.com occasionally for recipes notified me that the website is not whay they normally frequent.

I investigated further and it appear the reminder to renew the website must have been sent to my very first email address and not my current address (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Hence some other person/business has this name.

What is the best way to rectify this so my content is ‘live’ as well as able to be downloaded by mytaste.com as they share by blog with their audience?

    Cheers,

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • This domain expired back in March 2016 and was removed from your account on June 9th 2016. It has since been bought by someone else which is why you are not seeing your site at that URL any longer.

All of your content is still available at https://powerfoodsfitness.wordpress.com/

I suggest registering a new domain and you’ll be able to point your site there.

Let me know if you have any questions or need further help.

    Hi Liz,
    Thanks for your reply.
To ensure this situation does not happen again I will be using my existing account with Crazy Domains and adding an additional domain for my blog.
I will be proceeding with: powerfoodsfitness.training
Should I email you once this has been purchased and is live?
Is this all I need to do – just purchase the domain without the website or other extras?
    Kindest,

    Hi Liz,
Just for your information, after some collaboration with clients decided this domain name is best:
    http://www.powerfoods.fitness
Upon your reply to this and the previous email will complete the purchase and have you point the blog to this name.
    Have a nice day!

  • Hi Sofia-

Go ahead and edit the name servers of powerfoods.fitness. You’re going to do this from Crazy Domains. This is what tells the internet to show your WordPress.com site when someone loads this domain into their browser.

Once these changes are made, it can take up to 72 hours for them to become fully updated. During that time, the site may not load consistently. If the site is still not loading correctly after 72 hours be sure to let us know.

Lastly, set powerfoods.fitness as your primary domain.

Auto renewal is enabled for the mapping upgrade with us. We will process the renewal 1 month before the expiration to give us time incase your card has expired or something similar that could prevent the renewal from processing correctly. The second portion of this is that you’ll need to keep the domain registration renewed through Crazy Domains as well.

I’m happy to answer any follow up questions.

    Hi Liz,

Thanks so much for your email.
I have purchased the domain powerfoods.fitness as well as mapping.
All is now live and will check in 72 hours if all previous shares from my blog to Facebook and Instagram are linking to my site.
In regards to mapping – do I need to set the auto renewal up in my account?

    Cheers

  • powerfoods.fitness is looking great! Old links between Facebook or Instagram and powerfoodsfitness.com will continue to link to powerfoodsfitness.com and not powerfoods.fitness.

Auto renewal is already established for this. If the card on file expires, or you need to change those details, then you’d need to update that information at https://wordpress.com/purchases/
