Website Help

Hello, I made a website called voiceofgenz.org a few years ago. It expired with NameCheap last May and I repurchased it today. Now, when I go to the login page for my blog, it says ‘the server cannot be found.’ Here is the link: http://voiceofgenz.org/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fvoiceofgenz.org%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1
How do I get back into my dashboard? Please help.
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You may have purchased a domain but have you attached it to a WordPress site at a host yet? If not you could purchase an upgraded plan for https://atravelinghooper.wordpress.com/ and then map your new domain to that site.
-
I attached it to a WordPress site 2 years ago. I didn’t see that it automatically added “The blog I need help with is atravelinghooper.wordpress.com.” Disregard that. The first link shows it was already connected to a wordpress site as a host. It simply isn’t working now.

Where was the domain originally hosted? Did you take a backup of the content of your site? If the site wasn’t previously hosted here at WordPress.com and you let the domain/site expire what makes you think the site will still exist at all when all you appear to have done is repurchased a domain 11 months after it expired?
-
My point is, it was originally hosted at WordPress.com. I purchased the domain through the company NameCheap but hosted the website through WordPress.com.

OK. I’ll add a “modlook” tag to ask if a member of WordPress.com staff could check if voiceofgenz.org was ever hosted here.

Hi there,
That domain was mapped to a site that was under a different WordPress.com account than the one you’re currently logged in. Also, that site has been deleted 3 years ago by the account owner and therefore it cannot be restored anymore. You can read more about our deletion policy here:
If you want to recover the contents of your site and copy them to a new site you can search in http://web.archive.org/ for a cached version of it.

Okay… That doesn’t make sense that the site had been deleted 3 years ago because I was active on it in April of 2018.
How could I use the second link to copy the contents into a new account?

Hi there,
Is it possible that after the site was deleted, you pointed the custom domain to another host despite paying for mapping? That’s the only thing I could think of since the site was indeed deleted 3 years ago, but you were working on a site connected as late as a year ago.
How could I use the second link to copy the contents into a new account?
You type in the address in the search field, and wayback machine should generate old content from the site that you can copy and move over to a new site.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for pointing that out. Is it possible that wordpress.org would constitute as a different host?

s it possible that wordpress.org would constitute as a different host?
You’re exactly right. There is a difference between a site hosted with us here at WordPress.com and a self-hosted WordPress.org site (via the open source software). Here is more information on the difference:
