  I currently host my domain http://www.bigheadcartoon.com through NAME.com – from which I also have my email ((email visible only to moderators and staff)). I have built the site with the Name.com Website Builder- however; am looking to change formats to WordPress but continue to have Name.com be the host. Can you please inform me of the best way to keep my current site live while I build a new WordPress site etc?

  You are planning to go with a self-hosted WordPress version and you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:

  These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only :)

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  The best way will be you can find a matching theme from WordPress.com or WordPress.org store and Install your WordPress. You can easily copy paste all your content to WordPress or if you have .xml file or RSS file then migration can be done automatically.
