  Hi, Im trying to build an academic website and just wondering how I could add many forms to the site. The users should be able to add their information to the forms and maintain files on the system as well. Print only when needed.

  Adding a ‘unlimlited’ number of forms to your site can easily be done with the Form Block, https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/form-block/.
  If people must be able to manage files on your site, you must upgrade to our WordPress Pro plan – https://wordpress.com/pricing/ as you’ll need to install one or more plugins.

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com comes with a contact form feature built in. We also support embedding of Google, Jotform, Wufoo and Crowdsinal forms:

  https://wordpress.com/support/forms/

  You can also install your own contact form plugin on our Pro plan, if those forms don’t include the functionality you need.

  Do I understand correctly that you want users to be able to upload and access files as well? For that you’ll definitely need a plugin, though I don’t personally know of anything specific you could use for this.

  For advice on which plugins might work for that, you can try asking the WordPress.org community, who makes the WordPress software, in their forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
