Website Home Page Layout Messed up in certain browsers

I have been receiving the odd comment about my website Homepage layout being “messed up” and “looking funny” in certain browsers: most specifically so far are Avant and Safari. Apparently the home page looks funny but the sub-pages can be accessed okay.
I have reason to believe that this “mess up” may have been the result of copy/pasting information directly from websites onto my post. I have since gone through the posts that I have copied/pasted into and have copied the visual text into Notepad, deleted the HTML component, and copied the copied text from Notepad back into the Visual WordPress editor and updated the post. I am not sure if this has resolved the issue, so if anybody using these browsers can check and offer feedback for me.. that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
