Website Hosting
-
Hello, I had a company called Weblogy create and host my website. They used WordPress to design the website which I have admin access to, however I do not have access to a wordpress account linked to my website. Is there a way to create a wordpress account and link my website to it even though Weblogy is the host? I am trying to ‘verify domain ownership via DNS record’ to google so that my website appears in google search but I cannot do that through weblogy so I am trying to do it through WordPress.
Thank you!

Hey there,
Happy to help you with this.
Hello, I had a company called Weblogy create and host my website. They used WordPress to design the website which I have admin access to, however I do not have access to a wordpress account linked to my website.
You should be able to connect the site to a WordPress.com account using Jetpack, please see how to do this here: https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/
Once connected, I’d recommend utilising Jetpack back up as seen here: https://jetpack.com/upgrade/backup/, just incase access is hindered in the future, this is a fail safe to regaining that access.
I am trying to ‘verify domain ownership via DNS record’ to google so that my website appears in google search but I cannot do that through weblogy so I am trying to do it through WordPress.
Ok, is this for Google Search Console?
Many thanks!
