Website in Private Mode – How do I Turn It off?
-
My website is in private mode and I don’t know why. I don’t recall choosing this option. How do I make my website public so that users can register without my approval?
I’ve tried this help article https://wordpress.com/support/privacy-settings/make-your-website-public/ (and other suggestions, such as dashboard > settings > general > privacy section and dashboard > reading > privacy, etc.), but I’m not seeing any of these options available on my wordpress dashboard. The only thing I see pertaining to ‘privacy’ is for creating privacy policies.
I’m logged in as the admin.
Thank you for your help

Your site shows fine to me, clearing your browser cache could solve this problem.
Note we can’t be much of a help as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform – https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/http://nextshowproductions.com. If you need further help, you must take a look in the documentation at wordpress.org

Note that many WordPress.com support documents only apply to sites actually hosted here at WordPress.com

Thank you for your feedback.
My issue was that my site was requiring approval for new subscribers. This is the message they received when they attempt to join:
Private Site – This site is currently private. If you would like to request access, we’ll send your username to the site owner for approval.
The issue was my url for ‘join now’ was incorrect (my fault). For those who need to know, the url for a user to login/join your site is: yourURL/login
For example, mine is: nextshowproductions.com/login
