Website is gone!!!

I don’t know what happened… I made a website for my brother-in-law’s business (with help from someone who actually knew what she was doing) but I hadn’t logged in in a very long time, and now it is gone… a week or two ago I was at least able to log in to WP but the site was completely gone… and now I can’t even log in… Please help!

Thanks for responding!! And I’m a spaz obviously I’m in WP, couldn’t get in through the usual way… but main point is the website is gone…

(Sorry for the late response, I thought it went through earlier). Is there a way to retrieve a site that was made and is now not showing up? I still have no idea why it disappeared…

teamhustlehoops.comdoesn’t appear to have ever been a registered domain name here.Are you sure that’s the right URL? If so, you’ll need to check with your domain registrar about this.

To clarify, it is possible to have a self-hosted WordPress site, which are sites that you create on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.
When I look at your WordPress.com account I see that you signed up with us, but have never actually created a site here on WordPress.com directly.
Did you use another hosting company to host your site? If so we would not be able to see this, and therefore we do not have any records of teamhustlehoops.com.
Have you tried contacting your hosting provider for a closer look?

Ah ok… Yes the site is hosted by SIteground… everything on that end seems fine, and we just paid our renewal fee but I will reach out again.
But this still doesn’t make sense to me because when I used to sign in to WordPress I was able to see teamhusltehoops.com, edit it, etc… now there is literally nothing there when I log in… -
Thanks for the link… I am going to reach out the person who mainly built the site because I am still lost, not sure how I can install the plugin on a site I don’t see. I am pretty clueless with all of this.
I see I have several emails from siteground saying our wordpress site was being updated — if I never followed up and also updated the plugins (i guess jetpack included) could that have caused the problem??

It is difficult for us to say as our support tool only work on sites that are hosted on WordPress.com directly. We do not have any insight to your site on Siteground but you may wish to contact their support line to see if they offer WordPress site support in-house: https://www.siteground.com/support
But I do think it makes sense to reach out to the person who built the site for you, who will be much more familiar with how to address your issue.

Ok…thanks for all of the responses and for trying to help me figure this out. Reached out to her and also reaching out to Siteground.
