My website is gone. skaneatelesearlychildhood.org There was message on the admin page that said an update was needed so I clicked backup files and the website says critical error. Please help.

No, we can only help with sites hosted here at WordPress.com.
It looks like Register.com is your current hosting provider, so you should reach out to them for help. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this issue.
Specifically there’s an problem with one of your installed plugins or themes or an error with your update causing that fatal error on your site’s front end. Your host should be able to look at your hosting logs and determine what is causing the problem and disable it.
