Website ‘is no longer available’

    Hey there,

After leaving a comment on somebody’s blog post through the ‘reader’ program, I decided to click on my username to see what I would be brought to. When clicking on my username, I noticed that I was brought to my old website address, which is theravagedcabbage.wordpress.com instead of my new one, ravagedreviews.wordpress.com. I tried looking into editing my profile, but couldn’t fix this issue. I’m hoping I could get some help in solving this slight issue.

Thanks so much for your time. Enjoy your day!

    Hi @ravagedreviews.

According to this previous forum post, you can set this up using your Account Settings. On the settings page there is a field with the label “Primary Site.” Choose your new site in the box below that heading to set it as the primary site, and click “Save Account Settings” at the bottom and you should be good to go.

    Have a great day!

Thanks for the prompt response @cookgardensew.

I was able to change this to my new address, but my link still takes me (and I presume others) to my old URL.

I tried this a couple of hours ago, but it is still doing this. Does it take awhile to make the change?

Again, thanks so much for all of your help. Have a great day.

    Hi ravagedreviews,

Updating your primary site will only change the address on any new comments you leave — this information won’t be updated on any existing comments.
