  Hello WordPress team,

  I hired a company called Design Nortex out of California to build me a website, my understanding is that they used wordpress to develop it. Once the website was complete, they were supposed to hand over the credentials for logging in… but unfortunately never gave said credentials… and then they have since gone bankrupt.

  the website in question is cmresidesigns.ca … I can provide all documentation that I paid for the website, that I own the company etc. Is there a way that you can assist to get access to the website after the fact?

  Hi there,

  Your site cmresidesigns.ca is hosted with NameCheap uses open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org), whereas this forum deals with sites hosted through WordPress.com.

  They’re very similar, but two separate things.

  You may try contacting your hosting provider for access to your account.
