Website issues

I have been a WordPress, Siteground, user for almost 2 years. Today I am pr=
eparing my weekly blog post and two things have happened that I need help w=
    ith.
    1) I cannot use the ‘upload media’ shortcut on my page. I have to access it=
differently which doesn’t allow viewing where it’s placed.2) No word count=
is showing up at the bottom of my page.
Therefore, I have only saved my draft and have not posted my story yet as this makes me nervous it will upload correctly.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey ozwisdom,

I am afraid, you’re in the wrong forums. For the self-hosted websites, you either contact the web hosting (in your case it’s Siteground) or the WordPress.org forums.

Please submit your query here. https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Just needed to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks.

Must log in! I have never changed my log in and yet it doesn’t recognize either my personal or my website email, therefore didn’t even get to the password part. Is WordPress having issues today? VERY frustrating!

Have you ever had an account there? WordPress.com logins won’t work. WordPress.org support is totally separate from WordPress.com and if you’ve never set up an account there before you will need to do so to post questions in the support forum. https://login.wordpress.org/register?locale=en_US

Everything comes through from the .com. I rarely have an issue. Now, however, I can’t even get a “valid” access for my emails. Not very user friendly getting a simple question answered. This is a WordPress issue, not my host.

This is a WordPress issue, not my host.

Perhaps you have Jetpack connected to manage your site here but the fact remains that your site isn’t hosted at WordPress.com. It is hosted by Siteground and is using the WordPress.org software. The two similar sounding platforms work quite differently when it comes to technical issues and consequently have totally separate support forums.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

So why would this issue be with SiteGround and not WordPress, since this is where I build my posts? It’s not about posting but rather building a post to submit to the host.

I have never changed or updated my PW or login.

My account stopped working and will not allow me to log in. Your system will not allow me to change my password. I’ve tried to change my password and continually get: “You’ve recently used this password. Try something new.”
    and I use NEW PASSWORDS.
    Anyone????
    Help please!!!!

@ozwisdom The issue isn’t with Siteground although your site is on a Siteground server and your site is made with the WordPress.org software which is why staff here at WordPress.com have no access to your content and volunteers here at WordPress.com are advised to direct questions such as yours to WordPress.org support.

@safeholmes please start a new thread about your issues.
