Website link without header picture on social media platforms
-
We’ve found that when we post a link to our website via social media platforms that the link comes up without our header picture – it just has our website name and tagline, which is a bit odd. Is there away of changing the way the link appears on Facebook etc. so that our header picture is included, as it normally does with other website links?

Hi,
Does this problem usually turns up with Facebook, or is it with other social platforms as well?. Facebook will usually use the featured image you set for your post, but sometimes, if the image does not comply with their standards, it will try to upload another image. However, Facebook has certain requirements for their images ( in width, height and aspect ratio). Check out the following link for more information about Facebook requirements: https://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-image-thumbnail/ -
Thank you so much Carla! Your link showed me how to do it – I used the ‘Debug’ tool it mentions on the link. Thanks so much again, I’m not techy at all and had been struggling with this for ages!
