  I have lost access to my site and then after clicking the ‘forgot password’ it is saying I don’t have that email registered. However, that email is getting alerts from my website itself.

  You may also be able to log out and log back in with the email address that gets notifications and what not.

  Or, for your own copy of WordPress with a different host, ensure you’re resetting from the wp-admin’s login page, rather than trying to reset here on our services. You can also ask your host for help with this:
