    Hi there,

Hi, so to give you a rundown of what happened: I had wordpress and upgraded to business. My webpage was created and for various reasons I decided to cancel and start back in a week. Now when I go on wordpress.com my webpage looks completely different. any reasons why?

Did you cancelled the business plan? I see that currently, you are using Lodestar theme on your site, http://vascularbiophotonicslab.wordpress.com/. Did you use any other theme (from Premium theme library or a third-party theme) while you were having a business plan? If so, then this could be one of the reasons. By cancelling the personal, premium, or business plans, we also lose the additional features, themes etc. that we receive with these plans (See the features here: http://wordpress.com/pricing). Consider giving your theme a check for this!

    Hope this helps! :)

So if I get premium back would it come back to how it was or is that all lost? I was told by the person who cancelled it that it would look exactly the same…

    Hi @vascularbiophotonicslab.

Without knowing the specific customizations that were added to your site it is hard for me to determine what has changed and what will return. The majority of the content – like posts and pages – don’t change when you switch plan levels, but the styling may need to be re-configured after the upgrade to match your original design.

I also wanted to mention that the only way to upload a custom theme is on a Business Plan. If you uploaded a theme as part of your original customization when you were on the Business Plan then know that you wouldn’t be able to do that with the Premium Plan.

I’m going to go ahead and add a modlook tag in the sidebar for you so that a staff member can take a look at this for you as well.

You are correct. The site should not change in any way by default just because a plan is upgraded. These changes need to occur manually. Everything will remain as is unless a manual change gets made from the user account.
