  I built a Hostgator-hosted website using WordPress. Now I want to migrate my website to WordPress. How can I talk to someone for help.

  Hi there,

  Yes you can fully set up your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

  When you first create your site we will assign a staging subdomain you can use to get set up in private. This will give you time to import content from your existing site, make sure everything is ready on this end, and give you time for any other changes you may wish to make in private. When you are ready to “launch” the new site to replace the current one, that is when you will want to “map” or transfer your domain to us.

  Also I see that digitaltools.tech is connected to your account via Jetpack, which will allow you to use our migration tool (included in our Business plan) to move an exact copy of your existing site with just a few clicks. That migration should be seamless and fast, but still we recommend taking a little time to evaluate the site on it’s private URL before moving your domain, which is best left to the very end.
