website migration
-
I am trying to transfer my website from BlueHost to Hostinger. I’ve always accessed my site through BlueHost, so now I don’t remember my WordPress password. I assume my domain name is my WordPress login URL?
Thank you,

Hi there! You’ve landed on the forums for websites that are hosted here on WordPress.com; if your site is hosted with Bluehost then it may be simply connected to our system via the Jetpack plugin.
What that means is that we don’t directly know what your password for your site administration would be, you may need to contact Bluehost for it, if you can’t reset the password from your usual login page. Your username for your site is typically not exactly the same as your domain (but it can be similar), though we don’t directly have a way to know what that is either unfortunately!
If you’re using Jetpack, it might be worth checking in with the Jetpack team regarding this:

To transfer your domain from BlueHost to Hostinger, you need to unlock your domain from BlueHost, get an EPP code, and initiate the transfer on Hostinger. You must also choose whether to keep your current or use Hostinger nameservers.
Your domain name is not necessarily your WordPress login URL. Your WordPress login URL depends on how you installed WordPress on your site. It usually ends with /wp-admin or /wp-login.php.
