  I have an existing website with Create a Website in Australia…can I bring across my shop and information? or if not how easy is the transition re set up?

  Hi @colourlightinginteriors, it depends on how you have it set up. Are you migrating from a previously self-hosted WordPress site, or were you using another platform?

  Can you send a link to the site?

  Hi there,

  This would depend on whether or not that service allows you to export your content in a WXR format that’s compatible with the WordPress importer. If they do, you should be able to migrate your content to a new WordPress site, either with us on WordPress.com, or with another host.

  If not, you’re looking at a manual migration, i.e. copy-pasting everything across into new posts and pages on your WordPress site.

  You can see migration instructions for moving to WordPress.com from various platforms here:

  For the shop-part you’ll likely need to rebuild from scratch, unless once again your current service has an exporter for an ecommerce plugin like WooCommerce.

  Also note that to use a plugin like that on WordPress.com will require our Business Plan, or else you can look into running your own WordPress installation with another host:
