  Trying to remove wordpress.com from my blog name. Need advise on how to do it.

  A free plan gives you a free ‘wordpress.com’ address. But any of the paid plans (Personal, Premium and Business) offers you the possibility of registering a custom domain (or, as you said, remove wordpress.com from your blog name :).
