Website No Longer Appearing

  As of Friday evening possibly, definitely over the weekend, our website stopped functioning. After speaking with our IT department I was informed that it is on the Worpress side so I would like to find out if there is any way to resolve this.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello there. I see that you have set up Domain Mapping to connect queenscommunityhouse.org to your site, qchnyc.wordpress.com/.

  While your mapping is set up properly on our servers, when I view your GoDaddy information, I see that your name servers are not set up properly:

  http://who.is/whois/queenscommunityhouse.org

  Your name servers should be:
  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Here is more information about how your domain should be mapped:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  I wish I could fix the issue for you, as I know your IT department already bumped you to us, but once you get GoDaddy’s domain registration information set, everything will work properly.

  If you would like to be able to view your WordPress.com site while your name servers are being updated at GoDaddy, you can click Store → My Domains in your site’s Dashboard. Then, make qchnyc.wordpress.com/ your primary domain. That way, you can send visitors to qchnyc.wordpress.com/ and it won’t appear ‘broken.’

  Thanks… For some reason it affects how other things are been routed like email, etc. Is there something configured that is preventing us from using the forwarding? (Or something to that tone)

  Hello! Where did you originally set up your email address? Did you set this up with your domain registrar, as well?

  I do not see record of you having set up forwarding at WordPress.com.

  If you have not set up a custom email address with your registrar, here is how forwarding works from WordPress.com:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/

  If your email is set with your registrar, here’s how you set that up:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/

  If your email is setup with your registrar, and it once worked but now does not, you should contact them directly about troubleshooting your issue.

  Have you been able to change your name servers with your registrar yet?

  Is there a way to remove the forwarding or direction that they created for http://www.queenscommunityhouse.org?

  Absolutely! In your Dashboard, click Store → My Domains. You will see that queenscommunityhouse.org is listed as your Primary Domain. Adjust that, and make qchnyc.wordpress.com your Primary. Save that change.

  It could take a while for that change to to effect. So, wait at least several minutes, and then go to qchnyc.wordpress.com and make certain it is not mapped to queenscommunityhouse.org/.
