Website no longer properly displaying (again)

My website is no longer properly displaying my images again. I use the Panel theme to post webcomics. Recently, for whatever reason without changing any of the settings, my comic image is being shown twice in the same post.
This has happened before, and the only way I was able to correct it was by going back to each individual post, removing the image, and adding the same image back in. For whatever reason, this seemed to work. It does not however currently work on my first post this year. Has the same problem on my mobile device.
I’m assuming that WordPress has done some kind of update that is creating this conflict. I know my theme is out of date, but WordPress has yet to offer any kind of new webcomic theme that I know of that I can change to.

As already said in a previous thread – https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/website-no-longer-properly-displaying/#post-4040232 – that theme is no longer compatible with current version of wordpress. The best solution is to go for a recent theme.

I’m aware of what was said in my previous thread. I’m not interested in designing my own theme.
I’m hoping it’s in WordPress’ best interest to become webcomic friendly again, and provide a comparable theme, or possibly fix whatever is disrupting my older theme. -
A retired theme doesn’t get fixed anymore because it’s beyond repair. The only solution is to find a modern suitable theme.

That is extremely disappointing.
Panel perfectly meets my needs. I don’t want to have to change to a different theme that doesn’t meet my needs.
