Website not active & no access to WordPress dashboard

Hi, I have a very simple website that I haven’t updated since a couple of months (no new plugins, no new uploaded media). I was trying to access the site today and I got the following message:
There has been a critical error on this website.
Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.I have no idea of why the site stopped working suddenly and even worse, I cannot access the WordPress dashboard as I receive the same error message. What might be the reason why the site just stopped working? and could you advice on how to fix this? Thank you.

Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
