Until the problem is solved, use an offline blog editor like Windows Live Writer, which is free. That will always keep a copy of your post on your own computer.

I started using Chrome browser and got this message:

Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

There appears to be a problem with the server.

There is definately a problem with the server. Is it going to get sorted or should I move to Blogspot?

  • Would you please access Firefox’s Console and reload the page?

You should a bunch of errors. If you do, please take a screenshot and upload it via Media -> Add New in your Dashboard so I can take a look.

See this screenshot of the location of the Console: http://cl.ly/HLoT

On a Mac, it’s under a similar location below the “Tools” menu.

So glad to learn others having same problem I had yesterday – boy was it irritating! Great to see so much instructive discussion in my first-time visitor. Here’s issues:

It seems to be internal WP server drop outs because today I still get i/net disconnects after hitting Update, or when clicking internal links text in published posts. Text links to other external sites work immediately, as usual.

Could this be related to another new thing not noticed previously?? Internal posts’ pingbacks are now showing in Recent Comments, which is a nuisance and so need to delete them.

This nuisance as today’s busiest day so will return to using Win Live Writer until matter resolved. Thanks in advance for advice/instruction – it’s appreciated

(I use IE9 with NIS2012 and this week upgraded TuneUP to 2012. Not got Adbloc.)

I have the same problems as the others. Have tried to refresh, empty cache, delete cookies etc. Still no proper looking/functioning dashboard. Add media button etc. doesn’t work and the text window is sudddenly very small, but can be made larger. Tool bar for editing text is entirely missing.

I’m having similar problems. Add media button and add tags not working. Latest post does not appear on my main page – and appears as draft, but when I posted it yesterday it was there, and when I click on it from my twitter feed, it shows up. I’ve been having this problem since Tuesday.

Have done post in Live Writer but needs a few tweeks and insertion of library images but WP ERRATIC WHEN SAVING DRAFT. Has taken several attempts to get tweeks saved! Had great trouble getting it to set internal text link, eventually done. New images loaded and inserted ok but slowly

A whole day wasted and will have to wait until my schedule allows next week.

There must be a major fault somewhere in the works.

My thanks to everyone who sorted this issue as I didn’t encounter any repetition of this problem last week.
