Website not indexed by Google

  My website doesn’t seem to be indexed by Google, even though I have selected “allows search engines to index this site” in the Reading panel. When I search for the full address on Google I get the following message under the link: “A description for this result is not available because of this site’s robots.txt – learn more”. What’s the problem? Should I modify the robots.txt file? And if so, how? Thanks.

  Hi there,

  This happens when your site was previously set to private and then turned public. It can take Google up to a few weeks to correct that error. Please be patient and it should update.
