It has been over 3 weeks and the site is not online. What is going on?

Thanks for replying. If I use the highlighted address above, no problem. But when I use my browser direct, google, all I get is a page with domain names on it. Other friends have tried with the same results.

Don’t use Google to find your blog yet. It’s relatively new, and it can take Google up to a month to add it to their index.
Just use your browser’s URL bar.

Oops. Part of the problem is I spelled carpenter wrong. It is now embedded in the url address. Is there a way to change the spelling? I went the general settings route and it didn’t seem to work.
The only option ended with Word press.com. I thought I had purchased the .net part.

chicagorankandfilecarpernters.net is a registered domain name and cannot be changed, but you can register a new domain by adding it via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.

Okay, I purchased a new domain with the right spelling. Then when I go to update the original by making the new one, with the right spelling, the primary domain, my new domain does not appear as an option. Instead, I am asked to purchase it for a second time.
Very frustrating. So far lots of money spent with no results in 3 weeks.

I don’t see any transactions for a new domain in your account. Did you receive a receipt from us?
