website not showing up on search engines

Hi, I have been using wordpress to make a website (https://lenanietfeld.wordpress.com/). While it was under construction, I chose to keep the site private; after I had enough pages up I went back to Settings > General > Site Visibility and clicked “allow search engines to index this site.” This was awhile ago, and the site still does not show up on any google searches specifically for the site. I have read all the help files on wordpress, and verified my site with google, and it still does not show up in searches. Just to be clear, this isn’t about “attracting more traffic” or something – it’s about people who already know about me searching specifically for this website and not being able to find it. Thank you for your help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is about your failure to publish posts.

A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines.

What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds, and as others do not backlink to pages, it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.

Any WordPress blog can be restructured from being post based to being page based – no upgrade required. For greater clarity read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/

Here’s a link to my step by step post too http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/07/25/create-a-wordpress-website-step-by-step/

You do not have any published posts. There is next to nothing for the search spiders to index. https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

It can take weeks for search engines to index content in a new blog and/or to re-index content under a new URL. What attracts search engines is unique content in posts (not pages) that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Start now publishing original content posts frequently two or even three times weekly. For more information read > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/

In addition to @TTs’ advice above

Has your music been performed in public at all? If so, do some Posts about the performance / venue – then from the Post – link back to the Page where you explain what each piece of music stands for

Thanks for your help. However, I know several others in my profession who have told me they have successfully created websites on wordpress using only pages and not posts, whose websites have no trouble showing up on search engines. For example, https://colintucker.wordpress.com/. Since they are not making posts either, I’m not sure why their websites are showing up and mine isn’t.

I appreciate your suggestions, but I really need for my website to maintain a professional appearance, and not to look like a blog with posts. The way I’ve made it is pretty standard compared to others I know in my profession, so again I’m not sure why it’s just my site that isn’t showing up. Also standard is listing upcoming public performances on a separate page or in the calendar widget and not as posts, so I don’t really want to use posts for that either…
