Website not updating

When I make edits on a page I click ‘preview’ or ‘publish’ and I just get the endless wordpress loading logo. I’ve tried clearing my cache and using different browers, but neither has worked.
Any ideas what I could do?

Hey there, your site isn’t hosted here so we can’t see what you’re seeing. Have you considered using the Health Check plugin to troubleshoot? That will let you deactivate your plugins and switch to a different theme without affecting the live site. Once you determine the offending plugin or theme that’s causing saves to hang like that, you can reach out to their support for assistance.
Going forward, these forums are primarily for sites that use our free-tier hosting. We’re a little different from the WordPress software itself. This article explains some of the differences.

It sounds like that may be due to using the Jetpack plugin, if I understand correctly. If you’re working via WordPress.com and you’ve already tried clearing your browser cache, it can also be worth looking at your browser’s cookie settings just in case they’re related.
Generally we’d suggest making sure that any ‘tracking prevention’ setting is disabled, and possibly also adding cookie exceptions for both your site’s URL and also WordPress.com – for sites that are hosted here we’ve seen this make a difference before so there’s a chance it may work for you too.
