website not working

    hi,
    my website has shut down inexplicably.
    i’ve contacted the company from whom i bought the domain as well as the hosting site and both say it is happening on the wordpress end. there is a red exclamation point icon next to the name of my site on my wordpress account and when i click it it says, ‘the site cannot be accessed. disconnect site.’ it also says i need to upgrade my jetpack to version 3.3 in order to manage my settings but when i click the upgrade button i am directed to a page that says, ‘This site can’t be reached

    spazzynights.com’s server DNS address could not be found.’

    Help!

    Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 80 days. During this time, your domain may be put up for auction or sold on back-order.

    The good news is that we may still be able to recover your domain if it has not yet been deleted or purchased by someone else.

    A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by the domain registry and is not one that we can waive.

    The total price will be $106, which is $26 for the regular renewal (and registration privacy), plus the $80 late renewal fee. If you do not wish to pay the $80 fee, you may let the domain expiration process continue and attempt to register the domain again at the regular price, once it has completely expired.

    Please note that someone else may purchase the domain first, in which case you will be unable to register it again, but if you prefer this option, just let us know and we’ll be happy to provide you further instructions.

    thanks for the comprehensive response.
    i’d like to renew my domain with the late renewal fee if you think we can recover everything!

    I’m afraid the domain is in an inbetween state where it is unable to be renewed, but has not yet been released to be registered again. I would expect that this should happen any day now.
